Our events!

1. Highschool program

The high school program offered educational workshops to high school students on Social Cultural Influences on Mental Health, Postpartum Pregnancy Complications and Geographic Accessibility to Obstetric Facilitates in a hybrid format. The intervention competition at the end gave students the chance to apply their new knowledge to a real life scenario in an innovative way!

2. Food truck Fundraiser

We collaborated with Muller’s Kitchen (name of food truck) to host a food truck fundraiser outside of Ontario Hall! Customer’s enjoyed fries, sandwiches and poutine with 10% of proceeds going towards Save The Mother’s. In addition to the delicious food, we also sold beaded bracelets, necklaces, and phone charms, handmade by club members, scrunchies, stickers, books and more. We had an amazing turn out and loved seeing everyone come out to support!

3. Coffee house

We hosted a fun talent night at Cogro featuring guitarists and singers! We also sold bracelets, stickers and phone charms to fundraise for Save The Mother’s. Not only did this night build awareness for the club and maternal health but it also created a positive and enjoyable experience for students.

4. Conference

We organized our second annual conference with lots of guests speakers and even had an interactive workshop centered around maternal health and the process of pregnancy, labour and delivery! The conference was a great way to encourage over 50 students from a variety of programs to learn about maternal health on a global scale. Lunch time was full of exciting and thoughtful discussions and students received goodie bags at the end!
